Middle Peninsula Northern Neck (MPNN) Community Services Board (CSB) provides counseling support for adults and youth who experience serious problems in functioning related to Mental Health and Substance Use disorders.
Comprehensive Needs Assessment
The service begins with a Comprehensive Needs Assessment which will help to identify a thorough plan to help the individual move toward their goals and improve their daily functioning. The Comprehensive Needs Assessment includes gathering information about the following:
- Family
- Legal and educational history
- Mental and medical health
- Specific problems the individual would like to address
- Substance use
- Trauma history
Follow Up Appointment
The individual will then be scheduled for a follow up appointment for those services and supports or be referred to a community provider.

Adult Case Management
Case Management provides assistance to individuals with severe mental illness to obtain the services they need to live independently in the community.

Outpatient Counseling
Find resources for counselors for both youth and adult counseling.

Psychiatric Services
Psychiatric Services are provided by both Psychiatrists and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners. Our practitioners assess and diagnose individuals they see providing state of the art psychiatric care to stabilize psychiatric symptoms in a sensitive and caring manner.

Psychosocial Services
Access resources about Chaterhouse, a rehabilitation day program for adults diagnosed with a serious mental illness.

Residential
View residential programs to provide help to those with mental health disabilities through assisted living, employment opportunities, and other services to help them gain independence.

Same Day Access
Instead of making an assessment, you can simply walk in and get one on certain days and times.
